Beauty does not exist apart from us.  It is a reality we project.  People, places and things are beautiful because we say they are.  And that changes too.

Beauty changes – absolutely – but we do need a word that expresses that particular inner feeling of perceiving what we consider perfection. Subjective – Yes – but language, although always in flux, is a valued one of many ways we have to express that feeling…
